Amelioration of Hepato-renal Impairment by Natural Chelators in Lead-induced Poisoning in Rats

چکیده
Abstract: Background: Hepato-Renal impairment refers to renal dysfunction in a liver compromised state concerning lead metal exposure. Natural chelators (marine source) have potent chelating properties claiming ameliorate hepato-renal heavy toxicity Material and Methods: A total of 42 male albino Wistar rats weighing between 200 250 g were categorised into seven groups (n=6). Except for the first group (control), which received sodium-acetate (1,000 mg/L drinking water), all acetate 0.4 mg/kg body weight per oral (p.o). Second-group is negative control (toxic), third fourth Chitosan Chitosamine 0.2 g/kg (p.o) respectively. Ethylene diaminetetra acetic acid (EDTA) 495 was given fifth, sixth, seventh groups, whereas [0.2 (p.o)] sixth Results: There statistical significant increase atherogenic indices, serum lipid profile, tissue oxidativestress, function biomarkers, kidney weights, decrease weights experimental animals toxic as compared these values ameliorated treatment group. Histopathology kidneys revealed histologic pathological changes nephrons along with dyslipidemia healed normal architecture analytical groups. Thus, study confirms nephro protective effect improvement consequence by natural chelators. Conclusion: The hepatic induced poisoning. Keywords: Lead Toxicity, Nephrotoxicity, Chitosan, Chitosamine, Chelation, Atherogenic Oxidative Stress.

15 صفحه اولLead Induced Hepato-renal Damage in Male Albino Rats and Effects of Activated Charcoal
Lead is a multi-organ toxicant implicated in various cancers, diseases of the hepatic, renal, and reproductive systems etc. In search of cheap and readily available antidote this study has investigated the role of activated charcoal in chronic lead exposure in albino rats. Eighteen mature male albino rats were used, divided into three groups of six rats per group. Group 1 (control rats) receive...

background lead poisoning impairs memory and learning. objectives the protective effect of natural zeolite clinoptilolite on memory and learning impairment in rats exposed to lead acetate was investigated. materials and methods 60 male wistar rats in six groups treated for 2 months with diets contained different ratios of natural zeolite(i.e. 5% or 12.5%), and %0.2 lead acetate (la) concentrati...
متن کاملEFFECT OF CHRONIC LEAD POISONING ON ERYTHROCYTE PROTOPORPHYRIN IN RATS
Research has shown that exposure to lead may have adverse effects at different blood lead concentrations. Lead inhibits at least two enzymes that are essential for the formation of heme, and because of the interaction of lead with these enzymes, no iron is inserted into protoporphyrin. Therefore the concentration of protoporphyrin increases in erythrocytes. The concentration of lead was mea...
